Expertise

I completed my specialist training in dermatology from the West of Scotland training programme in 2016, after which I was appointed as a consultant dermatologist in Brighton and Sussex University Hospital, based in Brighton General Hospital.

As a general dermatologist, skin cancer clinics form an integral part of my work. I am a core member of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team.

My areas of specialist interests include acne, rosacea, hidradenitis suppurativa, hair loss and urticaria. In my NHS role, I oversee specialist acne and urticaria clinics. I am a regional specialist in hidradenitis suppurativa covering Kent, Sussex and Surrey. I work alongside Dr Paul Farrant in the specialist regional hair clinic in Brighton.

I was the clinical lead for dermatology services in Brighton and Hove from 2019-2021. I was the southeast region representative for the British Association of Dermatologists from 2020-2023. I have been on the committee for the British Association of Medical Dermatologists. I have worked with national Hidradenitis Suppurativa advisory boards. I have been part of various HS research projects, investigating new treatments for HS.

I am a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. I am a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology.
